A page that turns in the fight against Covid-19. After more than a year and a half of living with the face half covered, the mask will no longer be compulsory on Monday in almost all closed places and the vaccination pass will no longer be requested either. Europe 1 takes stock of the changes to come.

It’s a sigh of relief for some. This Monday, after more than a year and a half, the mask will no longer be compulsory in almost all closed places. The vaccination pass will no longer be required either to enter certain places. These are the consequences of the announcements of Jean Castex, at the beginning of March. The Prime Minister had indicated “suspending” these measures, while the Covid-19 seemed to be decreasing in France. Europe 1 goes around the changes that take place this Monday.

Stores, businesses, schools: these places where the mask falls

Finished the mask in the stores! Shopping sessions can be done with your face completely uncovered. In companies, you will also find the faces of your colleagues. Students will no longer have to wear masks in class, just like teachers. In reality, all private and public places are concerned by the end of the wearing of the mask.

On the other hand, the government retains the obligation to wear a mask in public transport, such as buses, trains or even metros. It will also be necessary to remain masked in hospitals and nursing homes.

Access to restaurants possible for all

If the vaccination pass is “suspended” on Monday, its derivative, the health pass, remains valid for entering medical-social establishments. It will therefore be necessary to present proof of vaccination, a certificate of recovery or a negative test. With the suspension of the vaccination pass, access to restaurants, the cinema or even the TGV will be possible for everyone, regardless of vaccination status.
