Bhuma Nagi Reddy’s Last Wish to Donate His Eyes to Poor


The family Members of the Telugu Desam Party TDP leader and Member of Legislative Assembly MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy have fulfilled the leader’s last wish after his death.

The departed leader’s two eyes were donated in the hospital where he underwent treatment before he breathed last in the Hospital.

With the acceptance of the Bhuma Nagi Reddy”s daughter Akila Priya and brother -in- law SV Mohan Reddy, doctor’s removed two eyes and stored to donate poor who suffered eye ailments.

Bhuma Nagi Reddy has been supporting the government’s initiative to organ donation as it give a new lease of life to the needy.

The Nandyal’s MLAs wife Shobha Nagi Reddy’s eyes were also donated after her death. She was killed in a ghastly road accidents during election campaign in 2014 election in her home district Kurnool.

Bhuma Nagi Reddy dies of cardiac arrest, 2 time MP and the 3 time MLA and the Member of Parliament the sitting MLA of the Nandyala Constituency in Andhra Pradesh, bhuma nagi reddy died of cardiac arrest at the age of 53 on Sunday.

As the Bhuma Nagi Reddy’s condition was serious and critical, he was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation and ventilator support before being rushed to a hospital at Nandyal Hospital.

He did not respond to medication and was declared dead.

Mr. Nagi Reddy underwent a by-pass surgery in the past but the third heart attack proved fatal.

He suffered an Heart attack recently and was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad.

On discharge, he called on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada on Saturday and had returned to Allagadda in the night.

Mr. Nagi Reddy, who was also elected MLA twice, lost his wife, Sobha Nagi Reddy in a road accident during the campaign for the 2014 elections.

There after, his daughter Akhilapriya was elected Allagadda MLA in her place (Nandhyala constituency

His body was placed at the TDP office at Nandyal and would be shifted to Allagadda for the Funeral on Monday.

The Chief Minister will attend the last rites.
