Directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasani aka Dolly, has shown his directorial skills. He made the audience glued to the big screens. Sizzling beauty Shruthi Hassan played the female lead role with Pawan Kalyan after their super hit Gabbar Singh. Katamarayudu has broke many records in Telugu Industry in the Overseas and homeland. In the US premier shows the movie minted $1M Collections and in the first day the movie minted Rs 38 crores according to the trade reports.

Katamarayudu is the remake of Tamil blockbuster movie Veeram starring Thala Ajith and Thammanah in lead roles. Based on the village backdrop the movie has won audience applause.
Katamarayudu was also released in the cities like Bangalore and Chennai, Coimbatore as Benefit show which minted huge collections. Supporting roles played by Siva Balaji, Ajay, Ali and Nassar has added bonus to the performance.
