Delhi Gas Leak News: Over 100 school students from a Rani Jhansi Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in south Delhi have been hospitalized this early morning after a gas leak from a container nearby was reported this morning.The incident occurred on Saturday morning as gas leaked from a tanker parked near the school.”Some students complained of irritation in eyes and throat due to a gas leak; 50-60 students hospitalized,” Vice Principal of the school was quoted as saying by a news agency.

At least 110 students of Rani Jhansi Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya were rushed to hospital after gas leakage from a gas tanker in South Delhi’s Tughlaqabad, reported ANI. The incident took place the early morning after students complained of breathing problems and itching in their eyes. “More than 50 students of Rani Jhansi Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Delhi’s Tughlakabad hospitalized after gas leakage near the school,” ANI reported

“Some students complained of irritation in eyes & throat due to a gas leak; 50-60 students hospitalized,” Vice Principal told ANI. 30 cat ambulances were rushed to the spot, disaster management team has also arrived at the spot. A police team has also reached the spot.

Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has said that he will visit the children in the hospital and that he has spoken to a few children on phone. “I have asked the DM(District Magistrate) to investigate…Doctors have also said there is no problem,” he said.
