The first three alpha-numeric characters on the currency note will remain in the current size.

The introduction of new currency notes will not replace the currently available notes and all the current currency of Rs 10 will be accepted and will not get avoid.

Rumors on Rs 1000 currency noteTalking about the Rs 10 currency change, the new edition will carry 2017 as the publishing year. There are no official words about the change in color, but it is expected that the color change can be implemented from the end of RBI.

There were some rumors that the Rs 1000 note will also get a new ‘Avatar’ after the changes we have seen in Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes. But let me tell you that these rumors were fake and no such planning is going on from RBI’s end.
