If there’s one thing you can’t have too much of, it’s super-cars. Particularly if they’re Italian, wedge-shaped, and mid-engined with a naturally aspirated soundtrack that could summon Zeus himself.
Heding our prayers, Lamborghini India has decided to give us another derivative of their top-selling super-car-the Huracan. The Huracan spyder, launched lat year, now gets its own rear-wheel-driven variant which is good news, particularly for the helmsman who cannot go home without getting the back end of the car to drift jut a wee-bit.
The Huracan spyder, which is otherwise sold with all-wheel drive technology-known for its road holding prowess, now gets a rear wheel drive variant which essentially sends power only to the rear wheels. This allows a more skilled driver greater leeway to play around with the forces of gravity for some much needed sideways action on a racetrack.
Lamborghini has optimized the car’s seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox and its steering to work perfectly with the RWD system, while the engine has been tuned down to put out a more manageable 580 bhp of power. No better time to add more track days to your annual calendar.
